Ascension Saint Agnes CEO joins Maryland Hospital Association Board

Ascension Saint Agnes is proud to announce that President and CEO Beau Higginbotham, CPA, MHA, has been appointed to the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) Board of Trustees for the Fiscal year 2027. 

The MHA serves as the primary advocate for Maryland’s hospitals and health systems, providing strategic leadership and policy guidance to strengthen healthcare access and quality across the state. Beau’s term on the board officially began on July 1. 

As the leader of Ascension Saint Agnes, Higginbotham brings a deep commitment to mission-driven healthcare. He oversees strategic, operational and clinical initiatives designed to enhance patient experiences, advance clinical quality and improve community health outcomes. 

“I look forward to this opportunity to work alongside talented healthcare leaders across the state,” says Higginbotham. “My goal is simple: to make sure we’re doing everything we can to advance healthcare for our patients, providers and hospital community, and to build a healthier future for every community in Maryland.” 

Higginbotham brings extensive experience to the role, including a Master of Health Administration from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and degrees in Finance and Business Administration from West Virginia University. He is a licensed CPA in Maryland. Throughout his career, he has focused on strengthening mission-driven healthcare organizations through operational excellence, strategic growth, and a steadfast commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
