Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside has named Adam Harrison, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, Director of Critical Care, following his service as interim director since June 2026.
Harrison brings more than 10 years of nursing leadership experience to the role, with a focus on evidence-based practice, process improvement and clinical excellence. As Director of Critical Care, he will help lead teams providing care to some of the hospital’s most critically ill patients.
Before joining Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside, Harrison served as Director of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital. He previously served as Manager of the CVICU at Bon Secours Mercy Health.
Throughout his career, Harrison has focused on using data and evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes and strengthen the delivery of patient care. His experience includes leading initiatives to improve sepsis bundle compliance and reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) and central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs).
Harrison holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Master of Business Administration. He is also a board-certified Nurse Executive (NEA-BC).
His appointment reflects Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside’s continued commitment to investing in experienced clinical leadership and providing high-quality, compassionate critical care to patients throughout Northeast Florida.
