Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast has expanded its general surgery program. Recently, we welcomed Trevor Beckham, MD, FACS, who joins Neal Holm, MD at Ascension Sacred Heart General Surgery - Mack Bayou located at 179 Mack Bayou Loop, Suite 101 in Santa Rosa Beach. Both physicians are board-certified in general surgery and use advanced surgical options when clinically appropriate.
“With the addition of our second general surgeon, coupled with our investments in robot-assisted surgery technologies, we are bringing the future of minimally invasive surgery to our community,” said Trey Abshier, President and CEO of Sacred Heart Emerald Coast.
Dr. Holm has been part of the Sacred Heart Emerald Coast team since May 2025. He completed his medical training and earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Dr. Beckhman started at the hospital Aug. 1. He completed his medical training and earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Care teams provide advanced surgical care for a wide range of conditions with advanced surgical treatments using minimally invasive and robotic- assisted technology to repair abdominal conditions and other injuries. Drs. Holm and Beckham deliver surgical treatments for conditions that affect the entire body, including:
- Abdominal surgeries (e.g., hernia repair, gallbladder removal, appendectomy)
- Digestive tract surgery (stomach, small intestine, colon)
