Hundreds of community members gathered at Ascension St. Vincent’s St. Johns County on Sunday, Oct. 25, for a free Trunk-or-Treat and Community Health Fair, bringing together Halloween fun and opportunities for families to connect with local clinicians.
The family-friendly event featured decorated trunks, trick-or-treating, a children’s costume contest, and other activities for attendees of all ages. Families enjoyed an afternoon of festivities while learning more about available healthcare services and resources in their community.
Beyond the Halloween celebrations, the event provided an opportunity to highlight the importance of preventive care. Attendees could connect with clinicians, receive health education, and access free flu immunizations when clinically appropriate ahead of the upcoming flu season.
The event reflects Ascension St. Vincent’s ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of Northeast Florida families by expanding access to care and creating meaningful connections beyond the walls of its hospitals and sites of care.
As St. Johns County continues to grow, Ascension St. Vincent’s remains focused on expanding access to compassionate, personalized care. Community events like the Trunk-or-Treat and Health Fair are one way the faith-based health system connects with residents, promotes healthy lifestyles, and helps families take proactive steps toward better health.
Ascension St. Vincent’s extends its gratitude to the associates, volunteers, and community collaborators who helped make the event possible, as well as the hundreds of families who joined in the celebration.
