Ascension Sacred Heart Bay is pleased to announce Carlos Rigali, DNP, MSN, RN, as the Chief Nursing Officer for the hospital. Carlos started on Sept. 14. He brings more than a decade of frontline and executive nursing leadership to the organization.
“Rigali’s proven leadership will further our efforts to make our hospital the preferred workplace for nurses and the provider of choice for our patients,” said Robin Godwin, President and CEO of Sacred Heart Bay.
Rigali built his operational expertise by working his way up. He started as an ER medical scribe and moved through clinical and leadership roles across nursing, emergency services and administration before stepping into senior positions that included director of nursing and associate chief nursing officer. That progression shaped a leader who has strengthened staff recruitment, eliminated contract labor costs and improved the patient experience.
“My leadership philosophy focuses on operational excellence, quality, safety, and empowering clinical care teams,” Rigali said. “I am excited to join the Sacred Heart Bay team as the hospital continues to stregthen specialized care for the Bay County area.”
Prior to coming to Sacred Heart Bay, he served as Chief Nursing Officer at Palmetto General Hospital in South Florida. He earned his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain University.
