Ascension Seton Women’s Hospital opens April 2026–with Level IV maternal care, NICU support and comprehensive women’s health in Austin.

Opening April 2026, Ascension Seton Women’s Hospital is designed to care for women at every age and stage of life–from adolescence, family planning and pregnancy to menopause, gynecologic surgery and lifelong wellness.

Designed to deliver award-winning maternal services and highest level of newborn care, with direct corridor to access advanced specialty care at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, the women’s hospital will provide LevelIV maternal care, a Level III NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), and a direct connection to Dell Children’s Medical CenterCentral Texas’ only nationally ranked pediatric hospital and home to a Level IV NICU and fetal surgery program. Women will also have access to comprehensive gynecologic, breast, pelvic health, emergency care and surgical services, all in one connected women-centered environment.

NICU care in collaboration with Dell Children’s

  • Level III NICU for premature and medically fragile newborns.
  • 60+ private NICU rooms designed for parents to stay with their babies, including couplet care for multiples.
  • On-site Dell Children’s neonatologists, respiratory therapists and neonatal nurses.
  • Direct transfer and continuity of care to Dell Children’s Level IV NICU if subspecialty surgery or advanced pediatric care is needed.

Women’s health and surgery

  • Minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery.
  • Urogynecology and pelvic floor care.
  • High-risk pregnancy care and maternal–fetal medicine services
