Ascension is a faith-based healthcare organization dedicated to transformation through innovation across the continuum of care. As one of the leading non-profit and Catholic health systems in the U.S., Ascension is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care to all, with special attention to persons living in poverty and those most vulnerable. In FY2025, Ascension provided $1.7 billion in care of persons living in poverty and other community benefit programs along with $1.8 billion of unreimbursed care for Medicare patients. Across 16 states and the District of Columbia, Ascension’s network encompasses approximately 99,000 associates, 22,300 aligned providers, 95 wholly owned or consolidated hospitals, and ownership interests in 26 additional hospitals through partnerships. Ascension also operates 30 senior living facilities and a variety of other care sites offering a range of healthcare services.
We offer primary and preventive health services through community health centers, including behavioral health, counseling services and support groups; medical laboratory services; clinical mental health counseling services; child development and early childhood education; dental care; health education, wellness, exercise and disease management programs; legal and social services, such as rent and utility assistance and food pantries; and senior services.
We provide business consultation and management and operations services for health systems including hospitals and medical clinics, nursing homes, acute care, long-term care, and assisted living centers, outpatient surgery centers, urgent care, imaging, cancer, heart, wellness and rehabilitation centers, pharmacies, health and physical therapy centers, convalescent, home health care and hospice care centers.
We also provide association services to promote the interest of medical patients and access to and growth of the healthcare industry, business services to promote public awareness of the transformation of healthcare, access to healthcare coverage for all, healthcare reform health disease prevention, health care costs containment, chronic disease management, healthcare policy and management, and grants for health awareness projects and incentives to promote all these health care related needs. Our programs include websites that provide access to web-based software for use in monitoring medical patient records, clinician responses, records, and monitoring of patient safety, facilities and personnel.
