Brandon Corbin serves as the Regional Technology Officer for Ascension Saint Thomas where he identifies and implements new technology opportunities with strategic direction while improving the technology experience for clinicians, operations, patients and families. Brandon also supports our Alabama, Oklahoma and Kansas markets.
Before joining Ascension in 2022, Brandon spent 17 years at HCA Healthcare in progressively responsible information technology roles before becoming the Tennessee Department of Health Chief Information Officer. His team helped support the state’s COVID-19 response, including systems to track and report COVID-19 information for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, opportunities to grow telehealth usage and, later, a COVID-19 vaccine scheduling system.
Brandon holds a master’s degree in business administration, with a technology management concentration, from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in information technology management from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee. He earned a Chief Information Officer Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College in addition to being a Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma green belt and Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO) from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME).
