Brandon Williams serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Ascension Saint Thomas where he leads financial operations, contracts administration, ambulatory health network, supply chain, revenue cycle and real estate.
Before joining Ascension Saint Thomas in 2022, Brandon served as Chief Financial Officer for Ascension St. Vincent’s in Birmingham, Alabama. Brandon joined Ascension St. Vincent’s in 2017 and was instrumental in fiscally leading the health system as it navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Brandon led the ministry’s adoption of a dynamic planning process during the pandemic, affording Ascension St. Vincent’s tremendous agility in making critical decisions for associates and the community they serve. Brandon’s strong financial analysis and strategic planning ability also were instrumental in executing Ascension St. Vincent’s Alliance with UAB Medicine. Before joining Ascension, Brandon spent more than 13 years in financial leadership positions with Tenet Healthcare.
The Birmingham Business Journal named Brandon to its 2021 Top 40 Under 40 list. He completed the Ascension Foundations of Ministry Leadership formation program in 2021 and earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgia College & State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Management from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
