Steve VanHook, MD, is an infectious disease specialist with over 20 years of practicing medicine, the majority of that time at Ascension Saint Thomas. Dr. VanHook has held multiple clinical leadership positions throughout his career, currently serving as Chief of the Division of Infectious Disease and Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for Ascension Saint Thomas, Dr. VanHook serves on multiple committees within Ascension Saint Thomas, including the Medical Advisory Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Antimicrobial Subcommittee and Infection Prevention Committee.
Dr. Van Hook earned his bachelor of science degree in Biology from Stetson University and his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
