Ascension Investment Management leader David Erickson, CFA, has been honored by Investor Intelligence Network as Chief Investment Officer of the Year.
Investor Intelligence Network, an online community created by Institutional Investor, Inc., recognizes outstanding and exceptional investment professionals with the Investor Intelligence Awards. The group took nominations from nearly 800 asset allocators within the Investor Intelligence Network for a variety of categories.
The Investor Intelligence Network highlighted Ascension Investment's Management's focus on socially responsible investing, or SRI, which includes impact investing.
"Interest from investors to pursue investments that have a positive social or environmental impact is growing," David said. "We had identified a number of opportunities that fit these objectives so we thought, let's move forward with this initiative and create a strategy that solely focuses on impact investing, and it's been a success for us."
As Chief Investment Officer of Ascension Investment Management, David is responsible for overseeing the administration, management and coordination of all investments, totaling approximately $30 billion.
