Emphasis on home care highlighted by healthcare publication

Ascension’s efforts to expand patient care in the home is included in a recent story at Healthcare Dive.

The story says the move is “one way providers are trying to get ahead of the curve as pressure mounts to reduce the cost of care and as reimbursement is increasingly tied to quality.”

Amber Sims, Chief Strategy Officer, Ascension Tennessee, said a home care joint venture allows clinicians to care for the sickest patients in the hospital while moving those who don't require continuous monitoring to their homes.
