Ascension St. John Rehabilitation Hospital of Owasso opens

Ascension St. John in Oklahoma recently celebrated a ribbon cutting for the Ascension St. John Rehabilitation Hospital of Owasso, a joint project of Ascension St. John and Encompass Health.

The hospital will serve patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, like strokes and other neurological disorders, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic conditions. It will offer physical, occupational and speech therapies, as well as nursing care that aims to restore functional ability and quality of life.

"In the last three months we've hired 180 staff members in order to fully staff this hospital. That's physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, ancillary staff, and these folks are excited, they're ready to get to work,” Harlo McCall, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, told Fox23.
