Dr. Jimmy Kerrigan, Ascension Saint Thomas Heart, selected to be Young Leader for 2024 CRT Conference

Dr. Jimmy L. Kerrigan, interventional cardiologist at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart and Assistant Professor of Medicine, has been selected for the 2024 Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) Young Leadership Recognition Program, which will be held in Washington D.C. from March 9 -12.

The CRT Young Leadership Recognition Program, curated by the CRT 2023 Planning Committee, is dedicated to showcasing current and prospective excellence in clinical and academic contributions within the field of interventional cardiology and endovascular medicine.

Board-certified in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, nuclear medicine, interpretation of vascular ultrasound, and internal medicine, Dr. Kerrigan is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services. His scope of practice encompasses acute care cardiology, management of chronic cardiovascular conditions, and preventative care for adult patients of all age groups.

Dr. Kerrigan's expertise includes the management of complex coronary disease, including chronic total occlusions and in-stent restenosis/brachytherapy, as well as proficiency in imaging, physiology, cardiogenic shock, and pulmonary embolism treatment. A native of Gallatin, Tennessee, after completing his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt, he earned his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at Washington University’s Barnes Jewish Hospital, followed by a fellowship and subspecialty training at the Cleveland Clinic before returning to Nashville in 2019.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to our supportive administration, my colleagues, our students, residents, and fellows; their role as partners and mentors has been instrumental in my being selected for this award."
