Ascension Sacred Heart Bay holds impromptu high school graduation for teen

High school graduation is a rite of passage that one Bay County student nearly missed due to a motor vehicle accident. McKenzie was scheduled to walk the stage and receive her diploma from Mosley High School on Monday. Last Thursday that all changed when she over corrected and rolled her Jeep.

When Mosley High School administration learned she was in the hospital, they contacted Sacred Heart Bay about doing something special to honor her. Thanks to a community with a big heart and lots of collaboration, they brought graduation to McKenzie.

It was the first high school graduation at Sacred Heart Bay and the first time that Mosley has ever had a graduation in a hospital. For more on this story visit WJHG and WMBB.
