Tennessee Oncology and Ascension Saint Thomas Launch Women’s Comprehensive Cancer Center at Midtown

Tennessee Oncology and Ascension Saint Thomas have expanded their long-standing partnership by launching the Women’s Comprehensive Cancer Center at Midtown. The new center offers advanced treatments and expert multidisciplinary care, providing a seamless and compassionate experience for women facing breast, gynecologic (including uterine, cervical and ovarian), and blood cancers.

Tennessee Oncology and Ascension Saint Thomas will offer an integrated approach to cancer care that combines surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and supportive services under one roof. Patients will benefit from access to a broad range of clinical trial opportunities and cutting-edge research. The center reflects both organizations’ shared vision to improve patient outcomes, increase access, cultivate innovation, advance cancer care, and reimagine how women experience cancer treatment.

“This partnership is an intentional step toward elevating how women experience cancer care in Middle Tennessee with excellence and empathy,” said Dr. Shubhada Jagasia, CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital. “As the largest women's hospital in Tennessee, this partnership reinforces our commitment to improving women's care across all phases of life. Together, we bring clinical expertise, advanced technology and compassionate support to deliver cancer treatment for women in a healing environment, designed thoughtfully around the needs of our patients.”

“Our goal is to make this a destination for women’s cancer care, where every woman can access personalized, expert care close to home,” said Dr. Natalie Dickson, president and CEO of Tennessee Oncology. “We are proud to deepen this partnership and bring our strengths together in service of women across Middle Tennessee.”

The center offers patients personalized treatment plans, nurse navigation, genetic counseling, and wellness support. By bringing all services together under one coordinated care team, Tennessee Oncology and Ascension Saint Thomas deliver a streamlined, patient-centered experience that treats the whole person, not just the disease.
