More than 850 Middle Tennesseans Received Free Healthcare at 2026 Medical Mission at Home

Ascension Saint Thomas once again demonstrated its commitment to compassionate, community-centered care by hosting its annual Medical Mission at Home on May 9 at the Nashville Fairgrounds. The event, now a Middle Tennessee tradition, brought together 900 volunteers, including over 650 Ascension Saint Thomas associates and community partners to provide free healthcare services to more than 850 patients from Davidson and surrounding counties.

The event featured a broad range of medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health services, with no insurance or payment required. Interpreters were also available to assist individuals in need of language support, ensuring equitable care for all attendees.

“Medical Mission at Home reflects the heart of our ministry and our responsibility to the community we serve,” said Neal Kelley, regional hospital president at Ascension Saint Thomas. “It’s more than an event, it’s a living expression of our commitment to care for every person with compassion, respect, and excellence. By bringing essential services directly to our neighbors, we’re putting our mission into action and ensuring that healing, hope, and dignity are accessible to those who need them most.”

Since its inception in 2008, Medical Mission at Home has impacted more than 26,000 Tennesseans, many of whom may otherwise go without essential care.
