The latest U.S. News and World Report rankings of hospitals include good marks for several hospitals of Ascension. The magazine analyzed more than 5,000 medical centers based on outcomes, performance measures and patient safety. General acute-care hospitals are ranked in 16 specialties.

Chicago Ministry Market

  • Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove, No. 10 in the Chicago metro area, No. 10 in Illinois
  • St. Alexius Medical Center, No. 8 in the Chicago metro area, No. 8 in Illinois, and nationally ranked in gastroenterology and GI surgery

Gulf Coast Ministry Market

  • Sacred Heart Hospital of Pensacola, No. 16 in Florida

Indiana Ministry Market

  • St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, No. 3 in Indiana
  • St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital, No. 2 in Indianapolis, No. 2 in Indiana, and nationally ranked in adult ear, nose and throat, and gynecology

Jacksonville Ministry Market
