Todd Conklin named Ascension Wisconsin COO

Todd Conklin has accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer for Ascension Wisconsin, effective July 15. “Todd is an experienced operations leader who has worked closely with physician leaders,” said Bernie Sherry, Senior Vice President, Ascension and Ministry Market Executive, Ascension Wisconsin. “The combination of his strong finance background and extensive experience in hospital operations make him an excellent choice to fill this key role.”

Todd most recently served as System Chief Operating Officer at Ascension Via Christi, the largest provider of healthcare services in Kansas. He has served in both operational and financial executive leadership roles for several other faith-based health systems, including Catholic Health Initiatives and SCL Health, the system created by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. Todd also previously served as an administrative leader in a 350-physician group practice affiliated with Loyola University Health System in the Chicago area.

In addition to his extensive and diverse operational and strategic experience working in national health systems, he is also familiar with community and regional hospitals, academic medical centers, critical access hospitals, multispecialty physician groups, population health management, and accountable care organizations. Todd has a consistent record of achieving growth and improving operational and financial results through transformational change and innovative business processes.

As the COO, Todd will work collaboratively with the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer to ensure Ascension Wisconsin’s performance objectives are met.

Todd earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. He was a member of community 14 of the Ascension Executive Ministry Leadership formation program.
