Providence Health System in Washington, D.C., last week celebrated the official opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Providence Urgent Care Center.
Tamarah Duperval-Brownlee, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Community Impact Officer, Ascension, and President and Chief Executive Officer, Providence Health System, highlighted the importance of the opening of the urgent care facility as “a major milestone in our commitment to serve the people of the District … (with) special attention to those most in need.” The Providence Urgent Care Center is the first urgent care in D.C.’s Ward 5.
The Most Rev. Wilton D. Gregory, Archbishop of Washington, offered the invocation at the celebration. Attendees also enjoyed a musical selection and heard from William Strudwick, MD, a longtime physician with Providence; Sr. Suzanne Baumgartner with the Daughters of Charity; and others.
