Leaders from Ascension Advocacy and the Marillac Mission Fund recently met with the office of U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) to discuss the charity’s work and Ascension’s commitment to serving veterans, older adults looking to “age in community” and services for human trafficking survivors.
Claire Hundelt, the new Executive Director of the Marillac Mission Fund (formerly Daughters Charity Foundation of St. Louis), had the opportunity to speak with Rep. Wagner about the non-profit organizations the fund has been supporting in the St. Louis area and how they align to improve the health and well-being of those who are poor and vulnerable.
Peter Leibold, Chief Advocacy Officer, Ascension, and Brock Ingmire, Manager of State Policy and Advocacy, Ascension, had the opportunity to talk with congresswoman about Ascension’s work to enhance housing opportunities for human trafficking survivors through legislative proposals before Congress and successful advocacy engagement with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to make grant funds available for transitional housing for trafficking survivors.
