Ascension Saint Thomas working with Kroger to expand healthcare access

Ascension Saint Thomas in Nashville, Tennessee, is working with grocery retailer Kroger to expand healthcare access in Middle Tennessee.

Kroger Health and Ascension Saint Thomas will work together to establish clinically integrated programs to coordinate care through their respective health and wellness teams. Patients will benefit from easier access to healthcare professionals, additional locations and extended hours, and lower-cost benefits and promotions. The partnership with Ascension Saint Thomas greatly expands the overall scope of services being offered to patients with 32 different specialties available throughout multiple locations. The affiliation integrates 23 in-store clinics with the Ascension Saint Thomas system and Kroger Health pharmacies.

“Ascension Saint Thomas and Kroger Health share a vision for helping people and communities live healthier lives with the goal of achieving the quadruple aim of better quality, lower cost, and an improved experience for patients and providers,” said Tim Adams, Senior Vice President, Ascension, and Ministry Market Executive, Ascension Tennessee. “Our goal is to simplify healthcare and improve patient outcomes as we provide coordinated care through our compassionate and experienced healthcare teams.”

The organizations celebrated the kick-off of the affiliation earlier this month.
