Ground broken for new Wisconsin orthopedics clinic

Despite cold and wind, plenty of people turned out recently for a groundbreaking celebration for a new orthopedics center in Wisconsin.

The event included associates from Ascension Wisconsin and Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists (OSMS), along with Village of Fox Crossings representatives.

Through a joint venture operating agreement, Ascension Wisconsin and OSMS, a physician-owned orthopedic, sports medicine and rheumatologic practice with clinics in Green Bay, Appleton and Marinette, are building a new surgery center in Appleton. Located within OSMS's new 45,000-square-foot clinic, the surgery center will be called The Orthopedic Surgery Center of the Fox Valley. Patients will have access to a full spectrum of orthopedic and sports medicine services.

The facility is expected to open in fall 2020.
