Accident victim, 10, reunites with first responders

A 10-year-old Florida boy who survived a horrific accident last summer recently reconnected with the first responders who got him to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital and helped save his life.

Landon Moye was helping build a fence in his backyard in Paxton, Florida, with his mother and young siblings while his father, Chad Moye, was out of town on business.

“We were all outside working together to build a fence. The post fell and hit Landon on the head,” Amy Moye, Landon’s mother, said, as reported by WEAR and several other media outlets. “He was in pretty awful condition.”

First responders arrived quickly and soon flew Landon to Ascension Sacred Heart. At first he was not expected to survive. But after a long stay in intensive care and further hospitalization, he recovered. He’s preparing to enter sixth grade next month.
