Ascension Via Christi sponsors nursing labs at Kansas State

Recently, Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas, became the sponsor of the Kansas State University Nursing Labs, which have been named Ascension Via Christi Nursing Labs.

The labs, which consist of simulation centers containing realistic-looking clinical settings, mannequins and equipment, allow nursing students to develop clinical expertise without patient harm.

“We are excited to sponsor the new simulation centers, which create an environment that provides students with opportunities to develop nursing skills, teamwork, improved communication and critical thinking,” said Jennifer Goehring, Vice President of Nursing and Operations, Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. “It connects the theory students learn with the actual clinical practice of nursing.”
