Laurie Labarca Named Hospital President of Via Christi St. Francis

Via Christi has named Laurie Labarca as President of Via Christi St. Francis.

Labarca brings nearly four decades of experience in healthcare, beginning her career at Via Christi as an Occupational Therapist in July 1985. Throughout her tenure, she has held numerous leadership positions, demonstrating a deep commitment to patient care and operational excellence. She was first promoted to Clinical Coordinator for Occupational Therapy and later became the Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Her leadership journey continued as she took on roles as Vice President of Operations for the Via Christi Rehabilitation Center and Via Christi St. Joseph, and subsequently as Chief Operating Officer for the Rehabilitation Center, Via Christi Health Network and Via Christi St. Joseph. In 2020, she became President of Via Christi St. Teresa and Via Christi Rehabilitation Hospital, where she fostered a culture of transparency and compassion for associates and patients alike.

“Laurie’s extensive experience in both clinical and operational leadership, along with her ability to cultivate a positive and supportive work environment, makes her the ideal leader to guide St. Francis forward,” said Kevin Strecker, Via Christi Ministry Market CEO. “We are confident that under her leadership, St. Francis will continue its trajectory of excellence.”
