The Ascension Genesys Foundation, part of Ascension Michigan in Grand Blanc, is inviting families and friends to honor the memory of departed loved ones and to celebrate those closest to them during the holiday season.
The Ascension Genesys Tree of Love, a 30-foot tower of 700 live poinsettias, symbolizes strength, courage and memories of loved ones. For a donation, individuals can dedicate a holiday light on a large blue spruce tree near the main entrance to Ascension Genesys; a poinsettia in the Tree of Love; or an entire illuminated tree outside the hospital. Sponsored poinsettias will be given to discharged patients.
Proceeds from the Tree of Love campaign support Ascension Genesys uninsured and underinsured cancer patients in need of financial assistance for critical medications, medical equipment, transportation for medical appointments and basic life necessities.
